Expert Level Excavation Foreman and Heavy Equipment Operator
Qualifications:
- Class A CDL and current medical certificate, with previous experience in securing and moving equipment.
- Able to operate a dump truck, dozer, excavator, motor grader, backhoe, scraper, and roller for use in constructing roads, lakes, ponds, construction pads, installing underground utilities and cedar clearing, among other various projects and equipment.
- Able to work independently, manage and perform finish out of a job site.
- Able to manage and direct your own crew.
- Knowledge of all aspects of dirt work excavation such as shooting grade, finish grading, soil types, measurements, etc.
- Knowledge of general construction practices.
- Knowledge to oil, grease, service and make adjustments to equipment as needed.
- Knowledge of bidding process.
- Good work history and references.
Requirements:
Applicant must possess excellent communication skills, a willingness to travel when needed, reliable transportation, flexibility in schedule and work environments, ability to walk/navigate rough and uneven terrain, ability to lift a minimum of 70 lbs when needed, a positive team attitude, and present a positive company image.
Additional Information:
Hours will vary by job, location and season. Work will be conducted in outside elements: subject to heat, cold, and possible inclement weather.
Position will hire as subcontract labor for probationary period. Upon proven ability, employment status will change to full time salary and a crew will be hired for you to manage.
